Ms Alicia Chin from Canada has been judged the 2005 winner of the Young International Freight Forwarder of the Year at this year's FIATA World Congress in Moscow. The prize, sponsored by TT Club together with FIATA and IATA, is worth in excess of US$35,000 to the winner.

TT Club, the leading mutual insurance provider for the transport industry, has appointed Chee Teng Joo as an underwriter in its Singapore office. Mr Chee, a Malaysian national, joins the Club from a background of broking and marine underwriting in the Malaysian market.
TT Club, the leading mutual insurance provider for the transport industry, has expressed renewed concern over continuing breaches of the International Maritime Organization's IMDG Code covering the carriage of dangerous goods. In an effort to improve the compliance ratio the Club has released the latest in its series of Stop Loss bulletins, focusing on the transport of packaged dangerous goods.
June 23, 2005 - The growth in end-to-end logistics services and the greater complexity of long-distance supply chains are increasing risks for logistics operators, often in areas that are imperfectly understood. This warning to logistics service providers was delivered by the leading transport mutual TT Club in a presentation at a recent (June 15) conference in Antwerp.
A recent decision of the English commercial court in Datec Electronic Holdings Ltd v United Parcels Services Ltd raises some important issues for freight forwarders and carriers dealing with high-value consignments.
